My blog got hacked and was taken down about a week ago. I wanted to look at the home page and there was an error. It was a php file error I had never seen before. So I called my hosting company to see if they could fix it, at first they did and then it happened again.
So I called back and they had to look at it further. The matter was brought to their security team so they could take a look. They had said the a virus was put in the php index file. I looked at that file beforehand and saw words and phrases I never used on my blog.
The hosting company took the virus out of the code and said they had seen this virus before, so my blog was just fine after that. Some how they got my username and password and hacked in and took the site down.
So just beware if this happens to you your hosting company should be able to take care of it.
