I just learned a very important lesson about blogging and I was not even looking to learn another lesson it just happened. Is’nt that the way we learn most things by accident or lack of personal experience. The most successful blogs out there are not the ones about marketing as many would lead you to believe.
That is what I thought at first so of course my blog dealt with just marketing topics. I soon learned that there are millions of marketing blogs out there and they all have basically the same information. So it is really tough to stand out among millions. So I figured out that my blog was just another unknown marketing platform you can find anywhere.
Then it hit me the most visited popular blogs are the ones about people namely yourself. So what I did was branch out and started writing about different topics that really interest me. I pretty much just write what ever I want, that is the freedom online you can do whatever you want.
Most people want to hear your life experiences, struggles and triumphs. How you deal with and overcome situtions in life and how you learn form them. Just keep it simple, basically write about your life. People love stories especially true life stories.
I still do a little marketing info on my blog but that is not my primary topic anymore. It took me years to figure this out. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Don’t be shy get out there and blog about your life.
