The real collapse of the American economy has been taking place for decades and is now just coming to a head.
Let’s go back a few decades when we started doing trade with China. That is when the influx of China low grade products started to flood the American market and undercut American made products. This is where it all started. The President Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement. Which allowed more jobs to be lost to other countries and led to outsourcing.
Slowly American industry went oversees for lower labor costs and higher profits. These companies that ran overseas basically sold out America for more profit. What they really did was they sold out the American family and the financial landscape. That right there is the root of the financial problem in the American economy.The United States produces very little.
When was the last time you bought clothing or shoes actually made in America. It would be pretty hard to find any anymore if at all. So much in America is made in some other country. Our industrial landscape has been slowly evaporating along with the financial landscape.
And here we are today.I keep hearing the Global Economy is a good thing. Well for everyone else except the US. We have become a Nation of consumers not producers. No financial bailout is going to work. The financial landscape has to be built from the bottom up. We need to start producing again to build up the American economic infrastructure. Start new companies that make products here employing American families and keep the money here in America.
This is the whole problem. Which the Government allowed to happen.Look at the emerging countries like China and India they are becoming financial powerhouses, because they make products. The U.S. has grown weak because we stopped producing products. I am all for other countries growing but not at the cost of our own.
The American economy will continue to fall until we get back to basics. It is my prediction the the economy will hit bottom by mid 2009 or earlier, in 6 months or less. Then we are in real trouble.
