Have you ever wondered why there are so many weight loss diets on the market? And why so many of them are here and gone and don’t seem to last? It is very simple…..
First of all weight loss diets are a quick fix not a long term solution. They don’t tackle the real issues involved with weight gain and weight loss. How many times have you seen people lose weight and then later they gain it all back? We all know people that this has happened to, You even see some of the so called Hoolywood stars lose weight and then gain it back. Diets are short sighted solutions not real life solutions. It takes hard work to lose body fat and keep it off.
Of course there are many reasons why an individual might be overweight for example, genetics, the way someone is raised, self perceptions, low self esteem, psychological etc, which is a whole other area of study for some other time. However people do not have to stay stuck in these situations due to those kinds of circumstances. One can always move forward and start over. Then there are also those people who are just plain lazy.
Secondly most people just want a quick fix they don’t want to really have to work at losing the weight, and believe me it takes work. Honestly most people unfortunatley are just lazy or even some dont have the time to dedicate to a real program. I work 10 hour days but I still squeeze time in for fitness to stay lean and cut. Weight loss diets might take some weight off without doing any work but once the diet is over the laziness takes over and the weight comes back. Less work means less appreciation for any benefits.
The third reason weight loss diets are ineffective is that they are not meant to be on indefinitley. It is a short term fix not long term fix. Yout not supposed be taking pills or certain boxed foods for the rest of your life. Most people can’t stay up with a program like that for a long period of time. Also most weight loss diets programs do not prepare you for when you stop taking their weight loss products.
In reality it takes hard work, persistence and dedication to lose body fat and keep it off. There is no quick fix for a long term solution. However the real way to get a really great body is to not diet at all. This is actually the best way. I actually eat 5 times a day and that is no diet. I Imaintain 11% body fat, my goal is to get under 10% I am almost there without dieting.
Proper long term weight management is an education not a diet. Weight control is a journey not a destination. In just my own journey of getting ripped I have learned so much information to keep me on track for the rest of my life without dieting. A lot of what is taught out there about weight control is false and misleading.
In a sociey where a quick fix and instant gratification is what we are all after, diets don’t work. What I share with people is real world experience and honest information of what it takes to be in the best shape of your life.
