This one area is why people will buy your product or service or not buy from you.
People don’t like to buy what they need they would rather buy what they want. They don’t want needs they want their wants. People will spend money on their needs, because most of the time they have no choice. Like for instance if your washer or dryer breaks down that is not something people want to spend money on, that is like a bill. They would prefer not to spend that money.
I see this with people all the time. They may not have the money for their needs but most of the time they always have money for what they want. Most of the time people buy out of emotion not necessity. I know people and you probably do too that always have money for what they want, but when it comes time to buy what they need they don’t seem to have the money.
So how does this apply to your business? You want to sell something people want
not what they need. Look at Ferrari people don’t need one they just want one. You will have better success if you sell something people want. Of course there are some needs people can’t live without and with that you want to blend the need into a want or a type of style. Like a type of car, or certain type of cell phone or a type of refrigerator you get the picture.

Probably the best selling online products are the ones that show people how to make more money. This is something everyone wants or even the programs that show people how to get more traffic to your website. Some other area of wants are to be healthier, look younger, type of cell phone, furniture and so on.
In summary with your business you want to market a product people want and don’t mind spending their money on.. A product or service that strikes people emotionally, something they want to spend their hard earned money on. How to market your product or service is a whole different topic I will cover in another article.
