Promote the “how to”

Basically most people do not care about what company or product you are involved with your home business. At some level they do but they just want to know “how” they can make money. Once you start trying to convince them of your company and product you are now trying to sell them. Nobody likes being sold to. And this is why a lot of people fail and drop out of the business.

This is why most people do not like doing sales. You constantly are trying to convince someone they need what you have. Your prospects wall goes up and at that point they do not want to hear anymore no matter what you say, conversation over.

And believe me I did this for years until I found out it did not work.That is when I realized through studying marketing what you actually want to sell is the “how to” of your home business opportunity. Sell the dream of financial and personal freedom and then the “how to” get there.For the most part people just want to know “how to” make more money. They may not even care what product your company has to offer. Your company could be selling paper towels or paper clips and it would not matter as long as they see they can make money honestly and with integrity. Of course you have to be able to stand behind your company and product.In summary focus on the “how to” make money withyour home business opportunity. Your company could have cds, dvds website presentation or whatever let the tools do the work for you. Let the tools do the “how to” for you and other people will see how easy it is.
